OLAKUNLE\n\nYou are marking your first anniversary as the Chief Security Officer to Allied Bank of Africa. You were honoured by your company for your eagle-eyed [[scrutiny]] of all security issues and you intend to achieve more. \n\n
YOUR RIGHT OF VISION\n\nYou can see a handsome young man wearing a pair of Timberland boots and a thick jacket. He has a pair of headphones over his ears. He walks over to the //shawarma// booth and leaves a large bag there and then hurries away.\n\nHe is muttering some [[words]]. His eyes looked dazed. \n\n\n\n
OVERDRESSED FELLOW\n\nAccording to security experts:\n\n* You should be wary of people who are generally overdressed in weather that requires light clothing. \n\n[[Back|evacuate the scene]] \n\n
TAMBOLO WALKS UP TO YOU\n\nHe has some blood on his face which is the result of shattered glass from the explosion hitting his jaw. "My sister, I never knew this could happen in such a decent part of town. I thought the explosions occurred in only the outskirts. Thank you for saving my life."\n\n[[Back|entire area]] \n
ESCAPED\n\nThat night the driver drove his car straight into the Police Headquarters and detonated his bomb on impact with the cars [[stationed]] in the car park. \n\n

SHOOTS\n\nHe recoils in pain, unable to detonate his bomb. You immediately advise everybody to evacuate the bank [[premises]]. "There could be more of them around" you say.
FACE \n\nSince being posted on duty at the International Conference Centre you remember seeing this face atleast five times. \n\nHe comes in and loiters about the complex for several minutes under the guise of working for the centre's air condition maintenance crew. \n\n[[Back|Was it his rather cool and detached behaviour?]]
What is SubWiki? \n\nSubWiki is a new feature in the Public Service Application, Spot Boko Haram!, developed to foster an informational community around our fight against all forms of terror. \n\nThe feature lets you store specific records of terror threats and attacks according to date, location, number of casualties, your contact details (optional) and any other piece of information you consider noteworthy. \n\n[[Back|SubWiki]]\n\n[[Start SubWiki]]
EVACUATE THE SCENE\n\nYou point to the strange looking fellow and shout to the other people standing in the queue. \n\n"He looks quite overdressed for weather like this" one man, a father of two says quickly pushing his baby stroller away from the queue. \n\nThe strangely [[overdressed]] fellow notices that he has been spotted and starts to walk faster towards you all, [[muttering]] his words more intensely. \n\nSoon there is a small melee and everybody else follows you and the man and start to [[run]] away from him towards some cover.
AWKWARD\n\nYour colleague, Peter, who is usually always noisy has fallen silent all of a sudden. He says he has a bout of serious Malaria and cannot afford to treat it; he is always broke and today is no exception. He is sweating really profusely. \n\nYou offer your [[sympathies]]. \n

IBRAHIM\n\nToday is the 4th of May 2013 and there is a special musical concert this evening. You have been detailed by your superiors to attend the event and monitor it for any sign of insurgency. \n\nAs you comb the halls of the International Conference Centre you have your standard-issue police pistol tucked underneath your mufti shirt. \n\nYou have felt especially thankful since the [[26th of April 2013]]. \n\nAt exactly 10 p.m. the concert [[begins]]: \n\n\n
GENTLEMAN\n\nThe gentleman is walking rather too slowly. His lower torso seems quite too thick in comparison to his upper torso and his head. He stands in the short queue of people waiting to enter through the bank. \n\n[[Back|sympathies]]
WAS IT HIS STILL LIT CIGARETTE SMOULDERING ON THE GROUND?\n\nNo it cannot be. He is just a guy enjoying some cigarettes even though a bomb just went off. \n[[Back|exploded]]
SWEAT FROM HIS BROW DROPS IN A LARGE DOLLOP\n\nYou quickly push him away from the small crowd, shouting. When he [[falls]] on the ground you put your whistle to your mouth and alert the police post by the gate!\n\n\n\n
<<if $spotBokoHaram1 eq "Spotted">> Good observation. Now [[alert]] the police anti-bomb squad. At first you are unable to hear anything...\nYou are lying down on the floor.\n\nYour body is covered with a lot of blood.\n\nAll the people previously standing in front of the entrance are all now on the floor. Some are writhing in pain, others are quiet. But all have mangled limbs; torn arms, shattered legs.\n\nTambolo is cut in half, his intestines sprawled all over the place. \n\nYou feel you have only a few seconds of your life left...//your Mum, your Dad, your siblings...//\n\n<center>GAME OVER!</center>\n<</if>>

RETREAT AND ASK THE PEOPLE AROUND THE VEHICLE TO EVACUATE THAT AREA\n\nYou stop pursuing him and immediately instruct the people running about the scene to quickly leave the area. \n\nThe man sees that you are not going to come after him. He drives his car carelessly towards the front gates and smashes the flower pots lined up the driveway.\n\nThe soldiers standing by the [[front gates]] aim their rifles at him and start firing. \n
WAS IT HIS RATHER COOL AND DETACHED BEHAVIOUR?\n\nYou look more intently at the man. There is something familiar about his [[face]]. \n\nYou briskly walk towards him with your gun aimed. \n\n"Identify yourself" you order him. \n\nHe drops his devices and dashes into his car, attempting to start it. \n\n[[Should you approach him quickly before he drives away?]]\n\n[[Retreat and ask the people around the vehicle to evacuate that area]]

YOU\n\nShe finishes you off with a bullet!\n\n<center>GAME OVER</center>
ENTIRE AREA\n\nPeople around you are in shock. Within a few minutes the Anti-Bomb Squad of the Nigeria Police arrives and begin to cordon off the area.\n\nThe police question you and other eye-witnesses. They thank you for saving lives. \n\nTambolo [[walks up to you]]. \n\nHe hands you and Habiba two tickets for the musical concert. [["The show must go on"]], he says. "But we are postponing it till next week. The police and military say they will add extra security measures."
FIRE!\n\n[[FIRE!]] \n<<if visited("FIRE!")>9>> You empty your cartridge into him and he falls to the ground, twitching. The other ladies raise their bare hands up and start to cry. They are only very young girls of about fifteen years of age. The Police Anti-Bomb Squad rushes in and demobilizes their suicide vests. \n\nYou walk [[outside]] feeling mixed emotions \n<</if>>\n\n
ENTRANCE\n\nThere is a small crowd piled up at the entrance but you do not really mind. You are ready to bear any delay and any amount of sunshine as long as you can eat some ice cream eventually. \n\n[[Back|Ice Cream City]]
SYMPATHIES\n\nTalking of sympathies, Peter becomes strangely animated around midday when a certain [[gentleman]] arrives the premises. \n\nPeter greets him knowingly. It looks as if they've met each other previously. The gentleman hardly waits for his turn to go through the security doors but you [[let him in]] anyway. He must be one of these Nigerian //big men//. And Peter seems to trust him so it is okay. \n\nJust as he is about to go through you ask him to put his hands in the air. The [[sweat from his brow drops in a large dollop]]. \n\n\n\n

EXPLODED\n\nThe man in the car park drops the first cellphone and calmly attempts to operate the second one. \n\nYou are not sure what caught your attention:\n\n*[[Was it his still lit cigarette smouldering on the ground?]]\n\n*[[Was it his rather cool and detached behaviour?]]
FRONT GATES\n\nBy some stroke of luck none of the bullets hit the man and he drives his car through the front gates sending sparks of light flying in all directions. \n\nYou run back into the hall where you see the other ladies chasing after attendees so that they can detonate their bombs within a large mass of people. \n\nBut then you realize that they are not all //ladies//. The oldest looking one is actually a man who is wearing female clothing. You take aim at him and [[FIRE!]]\n\n\n
SAFE\n\nNow you feel you must do your duty to ensure that others are safe as well. \n\nAt the back of the crowd you notice a group of ladies wearing large head scarves. They stand next to a group of attendees and although they try hard to blend in with the crowd they seem quite uncomfortable. \n\nThe all look very young except the one behind. She looks much older than the rest. She has her left hand clenched tight as if she is holding something but you are not sure [[what it is]]. \n\n
Location: Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (Nigeria). \n\nExact area: Oyo street, Garki Area 2. \n\nCharacter: You are now playing as [[Ifeoma]], an 18 year old S.S.3 student. \n\n\n\n
PANDEMONIUM \n\nOther secret service officers scramble towards the main hall to take control of the situation. \n\nYou dash out of the building towards where the lady [[exploded]]. \n\n
ALERT THE POLICE\n\nYou get your mobile phone out of your handbag and quickly dial the Anti-Bomb Squad. \n\nThe officer on the other end of the line asks you to give him the details of the location. He also advises you to report to the security men attached to the Ice Cream City and, if none, to alert other people in the area to [[evacuate the scene]] as quickly as possible. \n\n
ACCOST THE LADY WHO SEEMS TO HAVE SOMETHING IN HER HAND\n\nYou walk briskly towards the lady. She senses you approaching her and tries very nervously to press the object in her left hand. \n\nWhatever it is, it fails to respond. She shouts at the other ladies and they all begin to scamper in different directions. \n\nYou pull your pistol, screaming at every one in your [[path]] to evacuate the building quickly but not a lot of people in front can see or hear what is going on. \n\n\n
WHAT IT IS\n\nThe music is loud and you cannot hear yourself think. You take one more glance at the ladies in large head scarves and decide that you will: \n\n[[Continue monitoring and come back later to them]]\n\n[[Accost the lady who seems to have something in her hand]]\n\n
IFEOMA\n\nYou are seated in your parent's living room, dreaming of ice cream when you receive a call from your friend, Habiba. \n\n"Why don't we go and get some ice cream from // Ice Cream City//, Habiba?" you ask.\n\n"Yes that sounds quite tempting." Habiba replies. "Let's meet there in [[thirty minutes]]." \n\nYou hurry to the bathroom to get freshened up.
WORDS\n\n<<set alert("Type the word 'Spotted' into the box to indicate that you have identified a terror threat.")>>\n\n<<textarea "$spotBokoHaram1" "" >> [[next]]\n\n[[Back|right]]
TIME\n\n[[Time]]\n\n<<if visited ("Time")>5>> Just as you expected, the suicide bomber detonates his payload. The sharwarma spot also erupts in an explosion. \n\nKABOOM!\n\nThe [[entire area]] is filled with the sound of car alarms and shattering glass. \n\nYou cover your head with your hands, lying prostrate on the ground. \n<</if>>
MUTTERING\n\n*Security experts warn that suicide bombers usually say some prayers to themselves before an attack. \n\n*Although this is not conclusive evidence, if all the other signs point to an imminent attack then this should be taken seriously. \n\n*Also note that some people generally talk to themselves and this in no way makes them terrorists but always remember the second point above. \n\n[[Back|evacuate the scene]]
PATH\n\nThere is someone who is not in your path. He is a middle-aged man standing in the [[car park]], smoking a cigarette. \n\n\n\n
SCRUTINY\n\nToday, however, something seems a little [[awkward]].
LET HIM IN \n\nThe last thing you hear is the sound of the bomb that crashes the entire bank building to the ground. \n\n<center>GAME OVER</center>\n\nNOTE: People strapped with explosive devices will usually find it difficult to move quickly as they have the explosives attached to their lower body. \n\nThis is generally a way to identify a threat.
SUICIDE BOMBER\n\nWhen you hear about the suicide bomber you smile, knowing that your brother and his family are [[safe]]. \n\n
BEGINS\n\nMr. FyneFace, a new Afro hip hop sensation comes on stage singing the following lines:\n\n//Who can know tomorrow?\nIs there a way to tell?\nWash away your sorrow\nAll the time, \nOnly good shall prevail.//\n\nThe ladies are enraptured with [[excitement]] when they hear his latest song.
26th April 2013\n\nOn that day your brother, Rabiu, was out with his family: his wife Aisha, his daughter Amina, and his son Mohammed. \n\nHe wanted to celebrate his recent promotion at work by giving them a treat at //Ice Cream City//. \n\nIt was due to the vigilance of one Ifeoma Harris that he and his family were able to escape the attack. \n\nYou are grateful that he is alive. \n\n[[Back|Ibrahim]]
FALLS\n\nWhen he falls you notice that he is fumbling to pick up something from the ground. And that's when his kaftan reveals a large suicide vest strapped around his waist. The armed policeman [[shoots]] the suspect.
SHOULD YOU APPROACH HIM QUICKLY BEFORE HE DRIVES AWAY?\n\nYou make a fast run towards the car. The last two things you hear are the sound of the engine starting and your vertebrae cracking from the weight of a car tyre smashing them into pieces. \n\n<center>GAME OVER</center>
SAFE AREA\n\nThe safe area is some distance from the entrance and there is a wall separating the entrance from the safe area. You hide behind the wall waiting to hear an explosion.\n\n[[Time]] seems to stop by briefly.

EXCITEMENT\n\nThe excitement grows even more frenzied when the man of the night, Tambolo, comes on stage. \n\n"A few days ago my life was saved by a brave young woman called Ifeoma Harris. I and 22 others were nearly killed by a [[suicide bomber]]." He announces\n"But thank God we are safe and the show must continue. Thank you, Ifeoma Harris."\n\n
CAR PARK\n\nWhen he sees one of the ladies in the large scarves run outside he fetches three old cell phones out from inside his car, dropping his half-smoked cigarette cooly on the ground. \n\nHe presses a button on the first phone and a loud explosion rocks the building. The lady who was running out dissolves into a mass of nerves and flesh. Pieces of her body splatter across the windscreens of the cars parked by the front entrance. \n\n[[Pandemonium]] ensues. \n
THIRTY MINUTES\n\nYou are so excited about spending a beautiful sunny Saturday with your friend that you are ready in twenty-five minutes instead. \n\nYou hop into a taxi and arrive at [[Ice Cream City]].
CONTINUE MONITORING AND COME BACK LATER TO THEM\n\nYou see no danger. After all, people are gathered here in good spirit to celebrate the successful foiling of the last bomb attack...\n\nThe lady presses the detonating switch in her left hand and BOOM!\n\nThe main hall nearly collapses. The force of the explosion flings people up into the air and then throws them down violently. People start screaming.\n\nThe blast throws you on your knees. You attempt to reach for your pistol but one of the ladies is standing behind [[you]]\n\n
